I have just received an edited version of a short novel-like novella featuring the main two characters of Gene Bukowski and his primary opposition for the next two or more stories; Emilio Heerdan. The question now is, where to go from here? One idea is to combine that with another story that follows on from it, and it'll give me a grand total of 33k words. This way, I can try submitting it to places that publish novellas. Alternatively, keep them as two separate stories and go solo as an independent author and try my luck with Smashwords.
